Maths prizes catching up with their heroes 2019

Commendation for outstanding results in mathematics in Year 3 among MMaths students in 2018–19 was awarded to Lucas Jablonski-Buchanan. Maths prizes for our first cohort of maths graduates were presented during the graduation ceremonies and will be reported here later. Several other prizes announced earlier at Maths Awards Day found their recipients during Week 1. Prof. Evgeny Khukhro presents commendation and prize to Lucas Jablonski-Buchanan

Boole Prizes-2019 were awarded to Thomas Harding for the best performance in Year 1, and to Megan Goforth for the best performance in Year 2. Commendations for outstanding results in pure maths were awarded to Jake Browning, Alexander O’Brien, and Thomas Smith in Year 1, and to Angelo Iuliano and Madeleine Long in Year 2. Commendations for outstanding results in applied maths were awarded to Lauren Berry and Rebekah Alcock Murrel in Year 1, and to Sarah-Jane Price and Ben Thompson in Year 2. Commendations for outstanding results in maths and computer science were awarded to Joe Farrell in Year 1, and to Peter Cseik in Year 2.
