Over the next weeks, we will have a series of academic visitors from various universities across the UK, to give talks on their research, as part of the Advanced Topics of Mathematics third-year module. All talks will be in ATB 2203 unless otherwise mentioned.
On Tuesday the 23rd of October 2018 at 1pm, Hayley Wragg (University of Bath) will be speaking on “Optimising the router location for ultra-high frequency wireless communication”.
On Wednesday the 31st of October 2018 at 12pm in BH 0101, Maurice Chiodo (University of Cambridge) will be speaking on “Ethics in mathematics: our responsibility to care”.
On Tuesday the 6th of November 2018 at 1pm, Kirsty Wan (University of Exeter) will be speaking on “The mathematics of microswimming”.
